Competitions and physical challenges are an integral part of Coach Sage’s physical and mental development. As a Coach and Athlete she has participated in a variety of competitions and challenges including the Elkhart County 4H Fair Strongman, the USAW Spartan Weightlifting Open in Lansing, MI, the Arnold Classic in Columbus, OH for CrossFit Team and Power X Powerlifting, National CRASH B Sprints Indoor Rowing Competitions, Steve’s Gym Bench Press Classic, Numerous Spartan Super and Beast Obstacle Course races, Festivus Games and GORUCK Tough 9/11.

In addition, Coach Bobbie was selected to be one of Elkhart County’s Vibrant People (January 2019) for her “particular care to create and nurture community for her clients and their families” and “encouraging and motivating people who may previously tried and failed to become more fit”. As a Vibrant Person Coach Bobbie was also recognized for being a “patient rescuer of dogs” and a “caring, dynamic woman who is proud of her business and enjoys playing an integral part of making Elkhart County a more vibrant and fit place”.

Recently Coach Bobbie adamantly feels she has been given her largest and most life changing challenge of caring for her youngest son who was recently diagnosed with Schizophrenia. Through this challenge her grace and knowledge of mental illness has been transformed and has inspired her into additional training and a deeper understanding of how metabolic nutrition and lifestyle can dramatically and powerfully alter, and in some cases put into remission, even the most serious of mental illnesses. She decided to follow the medically prescribed ketogenic therapy diet with her son and found for herself the profound positive changes in her own physical and mental states that she never found in her previous traditional healthy eating and athletic performance diets. Through this journey her passion has now been redefined to share metabolic therapy coupled with physical metabolic support through strength training and the awareness of nutrition on everyone’s physical and mental health, particularly for today’s women.
